What Does the Donkey Mean in the Bible?
Donkey = the plain, stubborn, faithful part of the mind — the strength that carries the teacher into the city. Lowly, and it does the work.
How it shows up in the Bible
A donkey speaks to Balaam, and a donkey carries Jesus into Jerusalem while the crowds shout. Both times it is the low, unglamorous faculty doing the work nobody credits it for. The Bible keeps putting the great entrance on the back of the least impressive animal on purpose.
Read the whole map. Every symbol in the Bible is a state of your own mind — the book lays out the entire system, from Genesis to Revelation, in plain language.
