Magdalene in the Bible — Hidden Meaning & Symbolism
of or from Magadan or Migdal-el. The surname of one of the Marys who followed Jesus. The name no doubt indicates Magadan, where she was born and lived (Matt. 27:56; Luke 8:2). Meta. A thought springing from and belonging to that in consciousness which Magadan signifies. (See MAGADAN.) Mary Magdalene was the woman out of whom Jesus cast seven demons. She became one of His most devoted followers. A lifting up of power in consciousness, and letting this greatly increased faculty be guided by the emotions and desires of the human soul, may invite demons, or seemingly established error thought activities and habits, that need the power of the Christ word to dissolve their hold on the soul and set the individual free.
