Blindness in the Bible — Hidden Meaning & Symbolism
Blindness = having no vision, no imagination, no Jesus — nothing but the outer, visible world. It is not about the eyes. The blind in the Bible are those who cannot see the inner truth; their imagination, the creative sight within, is closed, so they are led by fear and the visible and never see what is real. When Jesus gives a blind person sight, it is the awakening of inner vision, of imagination, the power within that sees and creates. To receive your sight is to let Jesus, your imagination, open the inner eye.
