Parting Of The Red Sea in the Bible — Hidden Meaning & Symbolism
Parting of the Red Sea = rising above your own turmoil to leave the old self behind. Egypt is the lower, slave-like mind; Moses is the inner liberator; the sea is the turmoil (mental, emotional, spiritual) that looks like an impossible wall between you and freedom. The parting is truth standing up on both sides so you walk through on solid ground, calm and untouched. Once you are through, the old thoughts (the Egyptians) that chased you fall back into the sea and are swallowed — not fought. The storm that once trapped you now drowns the part of you that could not stay. Leave the slave-mind, walk through the middle of your own storm on solid truth, and the old self is swallowed by what used to hold you.
