Oren in the Bible — Hidden Meaning & Symbolism

strength; power; enlightened; pine tree; fir tree; ash tree. Son of Jerahmeel, of the tribe of Judah (I Chron. 2:25). Meta. A thought of abiding life and strength established in the nervous system of the individual (strength, power; also fir tree and pine tree, both being evergreen trees, and relating therefore to abiding, ever renewing life, while trees represent the nerves in the organism of man). Trees signify a connecting link between the heaven and the earth, the formless and the formed, even as the nervous system in man is the connecting link between his unformed thoughts and his formed organism--the heavens (mind) and the earth (body). Nerves also connect thought centers; they are expressions of thoughts of unity.
