Luhith in the Bible — Hidden Meaning & Symbolism

polished; smoothed; made of slabs, i. e., of stone; made of planks, i. e., of wood; floored; tablet; table. An elevated place in Moab (Isa. 15:5; Jer. 48:5). Meta."For by the ascent of Luhith with continual weeping shall they go up; for at the descent of Horonaim they have heard the distress of the cry of destruction." Horonaim and Luhith both belong to carnal mind (Moab). Horonaim signifies a stirring up, by the power of the word of Truth, of man's deep-seated, subconscious errors regarding life and substance. Luhith bespeaks the bringing of these errors to the surface, or outer phase, of mind, that they may be eliminated from consciousness. Though this outer phase of consciousness (Luhith) has been disciplined in degree, brought into a degree of harmony (polished, smoothed), and so lifted up somewhat (an elevated place), it is still of the carnal mind (Moab) and must give way to true spiritual realization and expression.
