Jehiah in the Bible — Hidden Meaning & Symbolism
Jehovah lives; Jah makes alive; Jehovah preserves alive; Jah restores to life; life of Jehovah. One of the doorkeepers for the Ark of the Covenant, when David had it brought back to Jerusalem (I Chron. 15:24). Jehiel of verse 18 is another form of the same name. Meta. That in us which recognizes that life is of Spirit and comes from Spirit; that in Spirit there is no death or destruction. As Jesus said to the Sadducees," God is not the God of the dead, but of the living" (Matt. 22:32). This recognition of life only, in regard to God and to His will for us, as expressed through our I AM, Jehovah, or indwelling Christ, helps to guard our inner divine spark, which the Ark of the Covenant signifies.
