Lazarus Raised in the Bible — Hidden Meaning & Symbolism
Lazarus raised = the inner act of Jesus, your imagination, bringing the spiritually dead soul back to life. It is not a historical miracle. Lazarus had not physically died — he was spiritually dead, his inner light gone. On the third day, at the inner moment of death, hiddenness, and rebirth, imagination calls him forth, and the dead self rises, unwrapped and free. It is the resurrection in miniature, done within you every time your imagination restores life to a heart gone dark. See LAZARUS, THREE, RESURRECTION.
